Description
The Moto-quip 6 Amp Battery Charger is designed to charge a variety of types of batteries, including sealed types. It has a voltage selector and a charging rate selector, and can be plugged into a power source. The charger will begin to charge the battery as soon as it is plugged in, and will indicate the charging current in amps. When the battery is fully charged, the indicator will be close to zero, and the charger will then deliver a low current just to keep the battery topped up. The charger can be unplugged from the power source and the clamps can be removed from the battery terminals.

Operation: Firstly determine the voltage & capacity of the battery you wish to charge. If unsure consult a battery manufacturer. 2.Remove the caps from the battery and ensure that the levels in each cell are not below the recommended level. If you need to top up these levels use Motoquip distilled water, do not use tap water. 3. Do not replace caps until charging process is complete. 4. If your battery is of a "sealed type" there is no need to perfomr the liquid level check, above. 5. Set the charger to correct voltage and charge rate. 6. Connect the chargers clamps to the terminals on the battery. Connect the red clamp to the positive(+) terminal and the black clamp to the negative (-) terminal. Make sure connections are secure. 7. Plug the charger into power supply/wall socket, the charger will begin to charge, the indicator will show the charging current in AMPS,. In the case of the MQ1232 charger you can only charge 12V batteries and you need to turn the switch of the charger to the "on" position in order for it to start charging your battery. 8. Monitor the indicator from time to time, when battery if fully charged, the indicator will be close to zero, the charger will then deliver a low current just to keep the battery topped up to a fully charged condition.9. Remove the plug from the power/wall socket and then remove the clamps from battery terminals.10. Your battery is fully charged. Please Note:The LED indicator on the front is not an EMPTY/FULL indicator as the instruction manual describes BUT rather it is an OUTPUT indicator. So when all the lights are on, the charger is at full charge meaning that the battery is flat. As the lights go off ( from the right ) the output of the charger is slowing down indicating that the battery is charging. When only the left light ( red ) is on the battery is fully charged. We are in the process of updating the manual. What's in the box x 1 6 Amp Battery Charger
